Bendy buses sold for €601,200, heading to Sudan

Article By: news

The bendy buses will be exported to Sudan after a Maltese company offered €601,200 excluding VAT for the Mercedes Citaro left behind in Malta by Arriva.

The expression of interest for the sale of the bendy buses closed on February 14 and three offers were submitted.

The company with the highest offer has to sign an acceptance letter and make a deposit by February 21. It will then be bound to export the bendy buses and all spare parts within four weeks.

Transport Malta acquired the bendy buses free of charge. The funds from their sale will be used by Malta Public Transport Services.
