A BMW was set on fire twice in the space of five hours in Naxxar between yesterday and early this morning.

The police were first informed of the burning automobile at around 19.30h. The fire was put out by a by-stander.

Another call was placed later that night and the police discovered that the same car had been set on fire again at around 00.30h. Members of the Civil Protection Department were summoned to put the fire out.

The vehicle was severely damaged.

Police investigations are ongoing.
