Cycling accidents due to loose grating
Several cycling accidents have been caused by the transverse bars that were welded across dangerous in-line gratings, the Bicycling Advocacy Group have stated.
"This means that certain bicycles wheels will fall through the grating, particularly higher performance 700C tyres," the group stated. "The ‘tramline’ effect could also cause problems for wider tyres especially in the wet, resulting in an accident", the Group said.
