Firelight through to the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Finals

The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 took place on Thursday night with Firelight representing our islands aiming to take Malta into Saturday's Eurovision final.





The song ‘Coming Home’ performed by the talented Firelight has gone through to the finals and will be representing Malta next Saturday in Copenhagen.

Out of the 15 different countries which took part in tonight’s semi-finals ten of the highest-scoring songs were awarded a chance in the final.

The 15 countries taking part were Malta, Israel, Norway, Georgia, Poland, Austria, Lithuania, Finland Ireland, Belarus, FYR Macedonia, Switzerland, Greece, Slovenia and Romania.

The ten countries which will join the other chosen countries on Saturday in Copenhagen are Switzerland, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Norway, Greece, Malta, Belarus, Finland and Austria.

The ten chosen songs will be joining the Uk, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Sweden, San Marino, Russia, Montenegro, Italy, Iceland, Hungary, Germany, France, Denmark, Azerbaijan and Armenia

France, Germany, Spain UK and Italy are all guaranteed a place in the 2014 final and also Denmark being the recent Eurovision winner.
