The Emergency Response and Rescue Corps, offered ambulance and first aid service during various Carnival Activities in Gozo, including Xewkija and Nadur. It said that the busiest time was Saturday evening in Nadur, in which the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps volunteers were present with two ambulances and a number of volunteers.

The medical team was needed for various cases which ranged from simple injuries, which required minor first aid, to more serious injuries like fractures and head injuries, some of which required transportation to hospital.

In a statement, the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps thanked the Nadur and Xewkija Local Councils which entrusted the safety of those present during the Carnival Activities and the Police Force which contributed to the safety of the Corps volunteers while carrying out first aid.
