The Floriana Local Council will be taking legal action against the contractor that was to organise the activities on New Year’s Eve in Floriana after the contractor was not in a position to honour the contract.

The Local Council issued a statement holding that in the final hours of Sunday December 30, it was clear that the contractor would not uphold his side of the deal and the council had to take immediate action in order for the event to take place.

Whilst apologising to the public for any shortcomings in the final product the Council extended its gratitude to all who supported the event and held that it will be taking all necessary legal action against the contractor in order to recuperate any damages.
