Most localities in Gozo were without power yesterday evening, with residents complaining that power cuts are suddenly happening too often lately.

Gozitans who spoke to di-ve.com complained that the occurence increased in frequency lately raising concern among residents.
Meanwhile, in a statement Enemalta explained that the power cut was due to three cable faults.
Firstly, an 11kV feeder supplying the areas of Għadira, Ċirkewwa and surroundings developed a fault while half an hour later, another fault developed on an underground 33kV cable which supplies electricity to Gozo. The supply to Gozo started being restored at around 23:30h and was completely restored at 23:43h.
However, electricity has still not been fully restored in Għadira and Ċirkewwa with Enemalta employees currently on site to repair an 11kV cable.
Enemalta has warned that households may still lose supply due to switching works.
