Italian ambassador ordered not to leave India
The Italian ambassador in India was ordered by the Supreme Court not to leave the country. This came after Italy refused to send back two marines who were charged with the murder of two fishermen last year.
The incident happened in Kerala, where the court allowed them to go back to Italy to be able to vote in Italy’s elections.
Italian ambassador Daniele Mancini assured those in charge that they would return to India by March 22.
