LIVE: PAC continues questioning oil trader George Farrugia
The Public Accounts Committee today continued to question oil trader George Farrugia who received a Presidential pardon to divulge information on the oil procurement scandal. He is answering questions related to the oil purchases effected by Enemalta before 2008.
Mr Farrugia this evening submitted a list of gifts he had given for Christmas up to 2010 on behalf of his company Power Plan.
William Spiteri Bailey and Enemalta CFO Antoine Galea were among those who received gifts amounting to €360 and a watch worth €1,333, respectively. In another time, Dr Spiteri Bailey received cuff links worth €1,177 from Mr Farrugia while Mr Galea received another gift of €1,044.
Mr Farrugia also gave jewellery items to former Enemalta chairmen Tancred Tabone and Alex Tranter and Enemalta officials Frank Sammut, Ray Attard and Pippo Pandolfino.
