Malta is the 21st most charitable country in the world according to the Charities Aid Foundation's (CAF) 'World Giving Index' report.

With a World Giving Index Score of 44, Malta is rated above countries like Italy who is ranked 33rd and France, ranked 54th. In the same report, Malta is ranked 8th, in terms of the percentage of people who donate to Charity.

This is the third 'World Giving Index' report published by CAF and the Index is based on an average of three measures of giving behaviour - the percentage of people who donate money to charity, volunteer their time, and help a stranger, in a typical month.

Charities Aid is a UK based foundation, dedicated to helping donors find the right charities suited for them.
