Malta National Sports Conference 2014
This weekend marks the 2014 Malta National Sports Conference, organised by the Nationalist Party’s Tim Sport PN, which launched yesterday, June 6 at the Kottonera Sports Complex, and will see its end on Sunday June 8, 2014.
This year’s conference has been titled ‘Sports in Malta, the next step’. Sports psychology, sports media coverage and obesity will be among the issues to be discussed during this year's national sports conference by the Tim Sports PN.
Yesterday, the conference was launched by the Tim Sport PN Chairman, Robbie Ebejer, and with an exhibition of various games of handball, netball, basketball, volleyball, darts and table football.
Today started off with a number of speakers; Andre Schembri, who is a professional footballer in Cyprus, Amin Jude Utulu, a Nigerian-born referee who lives in Malta, and Sarah Caruana, an athlete with special needs. Other speakers today will address issues on Sports Psychology, Physiology, and Nutrition, a speech by the MFA’s Executive Head and also a speech addressing Bullying and Sports.
On Sunday, there will be an exhibition from the Special Olympics Malta Team and the Breaking Limits Malta.
