Malta complains agaist delays of DTT auction
Malta and Croatia have submitted formal protests to Italy's Communications Authority (AgCom) regarding the framework of the ongoing public consultation on the regulations for the planned DTT frequency auction.
According to a report by Italian daily La Repubblica, the neighbouring countries are concerned about possible interference from Italy with TV reception in their markets.
The newspaper points out that this latest development could result in the auction being delayed.
Following the outcome of a public consultation process which ended on December 17, 2012, the Council for Communications unanimously approved the draft resolution concerning the rules for the allocation of frequencies of digital terrestrial television (multiplex).
