Man admits to assaulting policemen whilst drunk

Mark David Jackman Jr., 26, from St Julian's was today charged with threatening and causing bodily harm to a policeman on duty and violently resisting and using force against a police inspector and sergeant in St Julian's on September 29.

Mr Jackman was also charged with disobeying lawful orders and being drunk beyond the capacity to look after himself.

He pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him and was sentenced to six months imprisonment suspended for a year.

Magistrate Carol Peralta presided over the case.
