Malta this morning woke up to the realisation of the extensive damages that resulted from yesterday's hails storm.

Windfinder.com keeps warning of strong winds until Friday, whilst during the night temperatures remained cold enough that hail from yesterday was still visible this morning. Another hail shower today at around 08:00h made life more difficult for those clearing up the debris and the government workers attempting to clear up the streets from broken branches and huge amount of trees.

In the Burmarrad and Bidnija area, farmers complained of huge losses amounting into thousands of euros worth of crop. Artichoke fields were devastated and prickly pear trees were riddles by yesterday's hail. The strong winds that hit the island yesterday and are still on-going keep adding to the damages and the on-going battle against the elements by road workers.
