New call for proposals under ESF 2007-2013

The Managing Authority (MA )for Cohesion Policy 2007-2013 in Malta, the Planning and Priorities Coordination Division (PPCD) within the Office of the Prime Minister has launched a new call for project proposals to be part-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund (ESF) 2007-2013.

Eligible applicants are invited to submit applications for projects falling under the following Priority Axes of Operational Programme II ‘Empowering People for More Jobs and a Better Quality of Life’.

Priority Axis 1 – Improving education and skills all Focus Areas.

The MA encourages projects addressing non-S&T and S&T further or higher education training programmes and training in S&T capacity building. Projects addressing S&T related actions and
actions that support educational quality, relevance, structures, systems, campaigns and research will also be given priority. The total indicative financial threshold is €5 million with the possibility of increasing depending on unallocated amounts.

Priority Axis 4 – Strengthening of institutional and administrative capacity all Focus Areas.

The MA encourages projects submitted by Socio-Economic partners and Civil Society in general to promote a more effective social and civil dialogue in Malta.  The total indicative financial threshold is €4.5 million with the possibility of increasing depending on unallocated amounts. This call is also open to Local Councils and Non-Governmental Organisations, however in all cases the organisation must have been set up for at least one year before the day of the launch of the call.

The call closes on December 14 at noon and  a half-day Information Session will be held on November 14 between 13:30h and 17:30h.
