The finals of the Fastest Dragsters in Europe are taking place today at the MDRA Race Track from 09.00h to 17.00h.

The event is one of the biggest speed events ever launched in Malta, and forms part of the Istrina Sports mill-Qalb Campaign 2012.

The event, organised by the Malta Drag Racing Association (MDRA) together with the Malta Motorsport Federation (MMF) and Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport (KMS) is part of the celebrations of the recent wins of the FIA European Top Methanol Dragster (TMD) Championship by Manty Bugeja of Mr. Whippy Racing Team and second placed Chris Polidano of Kalanc Racing Team.

130 vehicles have registered for this event including Maksar Diesel Truck – the Fastest Diesel Truck on Earth driven by Tommy Agius, the Telephone Box Top Fuel Dragster driven by Duncan Micallef, Super Street Bike Champion Simon Giordamania and the European TMD Champion 2012 Manty Bugeja racing.
