PL condemns Broadcasting Authority
The Labour Party have condemned the Broadcasting Authority for scolding and ordering the PBS administration to follow its recommendation, a statement by the PL read.
The statement read that the Labour Party have repeatedly complained of this type of behavior, and "Wednesday's Broadcasting Authority's statement shows, yet again, the leadership style of the Public Broadcasting".
"This situation has confirmed the need that now, with the electoral campaigns looming, the Broadcasting Authority exercise its responsibility as stated in the law, to ensure that there is no imbalance or impartiality in the PBS, considering everyone pretends that everything broadcast on PBS stations is balanced and impartial," the PL statement concluded.
Earlier this week, the BA ordered PBS to reschedule the Dissett programme for this weekend, stating that it must host both Deputy Leaders Simon Busuttil from the PN and Louis Grech from the PL, instead of just Louis Grech.
