PL repeats that claim of 20,000 new jobs is false
The Labour Party said again this morning that the declaration that the government had created 20,000 during the present legislature was false.
In a statement, PL said that the rising trend of unemployment proved that this was not true.
‘During this legislation, GonziPN failed to address the problem of 6,664 people who are still looking for work, as well as their respective families. 3,880 of these have been looking for work for over 21 weeks, while 2,406 have been looking for a job for over a year.”
“The 20,000 jobs claim is just more word play, since it’s not mentioned anywhere in the pre-budget document, and has been debunked by the EU and the Finance Minister himself.”
