PL welcomed the fact that at last, Government deposited an instrument of ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disability.

This convention will mean guaranteed rights to these people, which will eventually lead to equal opportunities, said Opposition Spokesperson for families, children, and people with disability, Justyne Caruana.

While this procedure is a positive step, the Labour Party said it hopes the Government is indeed committed to working in this sector, she added, before saying that the Opposition will be proactive in this initiative.
