PN – Muscat is so desperate to be PM that he’s predicted early elections forty times
The Nationalist Party hit back at Labour leader Joseph Muscat who described the government as clinging to the seat of power at all costs, saying that Dr Muscat’s only priority is becoming Malta’s youngest Prime Minister.
“All Muscat wants to do is become Malta’s youngest Prime Minister. He hasn’t told the people what his party’s policy on jobs, health, education or anything else is.”
“He wants your vote but he won’t tell you what his policies are. He just has an immense thirst for power and his only interest is becoming Malta’s youngest Prime Minister.”
The PN statement said that Dr Muscat had spent the last four years endeavouring to obstruct the Government in its work. His desperation to go to the election polls meant that in less than four years, he had predicted and sought to bring about early elections over forty times.
He had also continued to downplay the accomplishments of the Maltese during these four and a half years with the creation of 20,000 new jobs, a record in tourism, 20,000 students graduated from MCAST and the University and the fifth lowest rate of unemployment from all EU countries.
“While our family's priorities are jobs, health, education, a better quality of life and more money in the pocket, the priority of the Labour Party, more specifically, Muscat, is his own power.”
