The President of Malta, Dr George Abela, and Mrs Abela, today left Malta to visit patients who are currently receiving treatment in hospitals in the UK.
During their visit, the President and Mrs Abela will be staying with the Franciscan Sisters to live for a few days with patients and their relatives.
The President will visit patients at Great Ormond Hospital, National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Royal Marsden Hospital, Moorfields Eye Hospital and Kings College Hospital.
Patients residing in the Sutton apartments of Puttinu cares will also receive a visit by the President before returning to Malta on November 7.
