Puttinu Cares - Football Marathon 2014
The 60-hour Football Marathon in aid of Puttinu Cares will this year mark its 10th anniversary. Spanning 3 days, between the 6th and 8th June, this marathon will see hundreds of teams challenging one another in football matches at the Marsa Sports Ground.
Friday 6th June at 9am mass will be celebrated with 800 children attending from different school together with several other distinct personalities. The kick off will follow at 10am by H.E. Ms. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and a 13 year old boy who is currently attending Rainbow Ward for treatment. During the evening there will be a U2 and Tina Turner tribute free of charge for all.
Saturday and Sunday a full jam-packed programme for all the families and children. Comprising of animation and entertainment, these families will be served by all the volunteers of Puttinu Cares.
We will be having webcam satellite transmission for the first time for the three days where people can see us from all over the world anytime of them day.
This marathon will be transmitted live on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June on all local TV stations where loads of families will be sharing their experiences they had with Puttinu Cares.
For the first time during this marathon we are going to reveal the actual increasing problems we are facing in UK.
