The budget sets aside €300,000. in order to create a residential home to avoid separating siblings.

Minister of Finance Tonio Fenech stated in this evening's Budget speech that a further €400,000, will be used to finance a therapeutic facility that offers security to children with behavioural problems.

Mr Fenech also proposed a support programme for youths exiting residential care, to provide temporary or permanent residence and assistance in this transitional phase.

The opening of two Accessi, in Gozo and Birkirkara, costing €200,000 have also been announced.
