SmartCity Malta will this year donate €100,000 to L-istrina mill-Qalb 2012 - Malta’s largest philanthropic initiative.
In the spirit of doing more for charity, this year’s edition is also the most innovative one till date. For the first time ever, L-istrina will have its opening ceremony outside the Main Stage area.
The President and his wife will inaugurate L-Istrina 2012 at SmartCity Malta with a grand opening ceremony at 12.00h on the 26th of December. This will be followed by an exciting event line-up that will keep the family entertained till sundown.
The President thanked SmartCity Malta for their significant contribution and support towards L-istrina mill-Qalb 2012. “With SmartCity Malta on board this year, we now have a third venue – Verdala Palace, Gozo and, in the South, SmartCity Malta. We wanted to make it easier for the people of Malta to come down and join in the festivities at any of the 3 venues”. He added, “SmartCity Malta, along its picturesque coastline, provides the ideal grounds for all the surprises we have planned for the 26th of December 2012."
Whilst thanking the President of Malta and the Malta Community Chest Fund for giving SmartCity Malta the opportunity to participate in L-istrina mill-Qalb 2012, company CEO, Fareed Abdulrahman said that the SmartCity team was excited about hosting the first large event at SmartCity Malta for the people of Malta.
"The SmartCity team has already started work closely with MCCF team to make the L-istrina event at SmartCity Malta a memorable experience for everyone who comes down."
