Civil protection personnel had an eventful hour when they were called to put out fires in two different sites at 22:45h of last night.

A Toyota Celica was on fire in the Wied Ghomor area of San Gwann whilst a Peugeot 106 was in flames in Carmel Street, Bormla. Civil protection personnel called at both sites and controlled the fires.

No one was injured in either case but both cars were severely damaged in the fires.

Duty Magistrate Neville Camilleri is leading the inquiry together with a number of court experts. The Police investigation is still ongoing
