The body of a young woman discovered by a passer-by in St George's Valley, near Paceville, was confirmed to be that of Russian teenager Polina Rahman, who went missing a week ago. 

According to police reports, the autopsy revealed that the cause of death was a fractured skull. The young woman's skull was fractured on impact following a fall from a considerable height.

Sources on the scene told di-ve.com that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition. 

The corpse was found at around 17.50h and the Police immediately focused on two young Eastern European teenagers reported missing in the past week.

A magisterial inquiry led by Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona is underway, and the police are working on the circumstances of the death.

Asst. Commissioner Pierre Calleja, along with Inspector Chris Pullicino are currently on-site, along with several other members of the Police force and the forensic squad.
