Updated: €1,000 stolen in Hamrun hold-up

Around €1,000 were stolen during a hold-up on a gaming establishment in St Joseph High Road, Hamrun, this afternoon.

An employee and a client were in the establishment at the time of the hold-up which happened at 16:30h.

Preliminary investigations found that while the employee, a 23-year-old man from Qormi and a client were inside the premises, a hooded and armed robber went inside the shop and stole the amount of around €1,000. 

Police investigations are ongoing.
