Woman admits she pulled teacher’s hair
Rosarita Galea, 36, from Qormi admitted that she had pulled her son’s English teacher’s hair in St Ignatius College, Handaq.
Mrs Galea said she had attacked the teacher because her 14-year-old son had told her that his teacher had snapped at him and showed him her fists.
Lawyer Edward Gatt, who represented Mrs Galea, said that although her actions were impermissible, the teacher was also to blame for acting violently towards her pupil.
Magistrate Miriam Hayman let Mrs Galea walk free, under a personal guarantee of €1,000 and warned her not to approach the teacher again.
Prosecution was led by Inspector Roderick Agius.
