Franco Debono moves motion of no confidence in Austin Gatt
Nationalist Member of Parliament Franco Debono this afternoon presented a motion of no confidence in Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communication Austin Gatt.
The motion, that was presented to the Clerk of the House, criticises Minister Gatt over the way he handled the reform in the public transport sector, his proposal to privatise several car parks and the contract on the extension of the Delimara Power Station.
Franco Debono has already declared that he will not support Government as long as Dr Gatt continues to form part of the Cabinet of Ministers. But Austin Gatt has repeatedly said that he will not resign.
Dr Debono had already abstained on a motion of no-confidence against Austin Gatt moved by Labour Party back in November 2011 over the public transport reform.
