Xarabank discriminates against AD
Alternattiva Demokratika said that Xarabank was discriminating against it by inviting it as part of the audience for Friday’s programme on IVF and Cohabitation, whilst inviting the Nationalist Party and the Labour Party representatives on the panel. AD said that the Broadcasting Authority should stop such discriminatory behaviour.
Michael Briguglio, AD Chairperson, said: "Decent public broadcasting requires a level playing field."
"We are in an election campaign, which started with the mass meetings on September 20 and 22. The Maltese people have a right to listen to the ideas proposed by the three established parties to judge on their merits. The 5 members of the Broadcasting Authority, all nominated by PN and PL should prove that they are not the slaves of their political masters but that they have a mind of their own and that are working in favour of pluralism in Malta and not of perpetuating the interests of their political masters."
