Bautista shelves test plans
Álvaro Bautista the GO&FUN Honda Gresini rider who had hoped to run new front forks from Öhlins during the MotoGP tests at Sepang on Tuesday ended the day seventh fastest and was forced to shelve his test plan due to the Malaysian weather.
Bautista finished the afternoon with 32 laps and a best time of 2’02.362 .
“Today was like many days here: it’s dry in the morning, so you can work, and then storms come in the afternoon. Last time we were here I was struggling a lot with the feeling of the front and turning the bike. We improved today, but the track wasn’t like it had been for the previous tests,” the Toledo-born rider told foreign media. “.
Teammate Bryan Staring, running a CRT bike, was not hindered after a recent motocross accident damaged his ankle and was pleased with the tests stating that, “it’s much more difficult to walk than it is to ride a motorbike.”
