Breaststroke record broken
The Group C 200-metre Breaststroke record was broken by Neil Muscat, 14, during the Aquatic Sports Association’s (ASA) Swimming Time Trials last Saturday.
Neil Muscat clocked 2 minutes 38.58 seconds, overtaking the 16-year-old record of John Buttigieg by 1.06 seconds. The Neptunes swimmer currently holds 22 National Records in different junior categories from A to C.
Another promising swimmer, Andrea Bellia, lowered her previous Group C best by 57 hundredths of a second when she covered the 100-metres Butterfly in 1:08.79 set in November last year.
