Cyprus test for Malta women’s team
Tomorrow Malta’s women’s team will be engaged in yet another friendly, this time against Cyprus, in a match which will be played in Paphiako Stadium, Paphos, at 14.30h.
The match will give the opportunity to coach Pierre Brincat to provide his units with ample playing time, with the possibility of being able to assess more thoroughly their potential at international level. It will also give the team the chance of extending their recent winning run and thus confirm their progress in these last two seasons.
Brincat, who is assisted by Mark Gatt, has picked 18 players from six different teams, Birkirkara, Hibernians, Gozo, Mġarr, Mosta and Pembroke. This is a wide choice which will offer the coach another occasion to go for the jugular in terms of tactics and at the same time give the girls more experience at this level of football.
