Hamrun Spartans Young Keeper trains at Swindon Town Academy

Hamrun Spartans FC and Malta U/19 international goalkeeper Jean Claude Debattista has successfully concluded a week’s training at the Swindon Town F.C. Academy in England.

Jean Claude was welcomed to the Club’s training grounds by the newly appointed Club Manager Kevin McDonald. Training under Academy Coach Steve Hale and 1st Team Goalkeepers Coach Frazer Digby was based on goalkeeping.

During the week stay Jean Claude trained regularly with the club’s Youth team and on Tuesday, the Youth team played a friendly against the RAF team during which game Jean Claude played for 45 minutes during the second half and had a positive performance.

Jean Claude also had the opportunity to train alongside the Club’s 1st Team Keeper Wes Foderingham. The Club’s Phase Development Coach Jamie Pitman commented that he was impressed with Jean Claude’s performance and will keep monitoring the young goalkeeper’s talents.
