Kevin Prince Boateng may leave Italy over racism
AC Milan player Kevin-Prince Boateng is considering leaving Italian football after a racial attack which made him leave the pitch during a friendly match this week.
The Ghanaian player left the pitch along with his team mates during the match against Pro Patria after several players were racially abused. Boateng’s decision was backed by the Milan team, where President Silvio Berlusconi insisted that his players should always leave the pitch if they are being racially abused.
However, Boateng told Germany's Bild newspaper: "It's not something which you can just shake off. I will sleep on it for the next three nights and then sit down with my agent Roger Wittmann next week. We will have to see if it's really worth carrying on playing in Italy."
The Italian FA said that it will conduct an investigation, while Boateng, who has a contract with Milan till 2014, will now decide on his future.
