UEFA control and disciplinary body today decided that Maltese player, Kevin Sammut, is banned from any football related activity for 10 years.

Mr Sammut was investigated after allegations of match fixing surfaced last year concerning the match Norway vs Malta during the 13th UEFA European Football Championship.

FIFA will be requested to extend this ban to give it a worldwide effect.

The control and disciplinary body found insufficient evidence to take disciplinary action against players Kenneth Scicluna and Stephen Wellman.
