Malta Cycling Federation President retains post
During the Annual General Meeting of the Malta Cycling Federation John Zammit was reconfirmed as president for another two year term.
Acting secretary Daniel Borg Olivier was confirmed as secretary whilst Austin Camilleri retained his seat as treasurer after an election for this post. In an address to the club delegates during the meeting, John Zammit thanked all those present and asked for their collaboration in the upcoming racing season which will start with a time trial on the coast road on February 3.
Zammit urged everyone to contribute for the good of cycling and reiterated his commitment towards improvement in all aspects of cycle sport in the country. He also promised to keep putting pressure on the authorities in order to secure funds for electronic timing equipment which the Federation is in dire need of. He gave a brief account of the MCF programme for the coming season including information regarding the preparation the Tour ta’ Malta and the local racing season.
