The Moto2 and Moto3 seasons kick off today at the Valencia circuit in Spain for the first three-day test of the 2013 season.

Starting today until Thursday 14 both classes will get track time as they prepare for what promises to be yet another edge of the sofa season. In Moto2 the man to follow is Tuenti HP 40’s Pol Espargaró pursued by Interwetten-Paddock’s Tom Lüthi, Marc VDS Racing Team’s Scott Redding and Italtrans Racing Team’s Julián Simón and Moto3 champion Sandro Cortese’s on his Dynavolt Intact GP Kalex.

Expectations for the Moto3 laurels rest in the hands of Maverick Viñales riding for JHK T-shirt Laglisse KTM, but Luis Salom and Zulfahmi Khairuddin, who have been promoted to the Red Bull KTM Ajo factory team will not fly white flags. Rookie sensations Florian Alt, at Kiefer Racing, and Lorenzo Baldassari, at Go & Fun Honda Gresini Moto3 ensure that the Valencia test is set with enough spice.

The Valencia track will be open for all bikes to work on set-up and numerous options until 12:40h with separate outings for the Moto3 and Moto2 class between 12:50h and 15:00h. From 15:10h to 17:00h the track will once again be open to both classes on track.
