Using the city of Milan as the setting NGM Mobile Forward Racing staged a presentation of its bikes and riders Colin Edwards and Claudio Corti for the upcoming MotoGP season.

Apart from two CRT riders in the premier class, Forward will also run four bikes in Moto2 with riders Simone Corsi, Alex de Angelis, Mattia Pasini and Ricky Cardús. Stefano Nesi, CEO of title sponsor NGM Mobile, was present for the event.

Team Owner and CEO Giovanni Cuzari said that NGM has become famous for having doubled the SIM on the mobile phones, so they adopted the same by doubling the number of riders in their team. “In the case of the CRTs, the long-term goal is to maintain visibility on-track, even in the case of suffering ‘inconveniences’ and creating a team that has an appealing format for a prospect constructor that might eventually become interested. It is obvious that having two riders allows the team to develop the CRT prototypes at a faster pace,” the CEO said.

Having been unhappy with a Suter BMW last season, Edwards and his team have elected to switch to an FTR Kawasaki chassis for 2013.

“Working with the exciting MotoGP project of the NGM Forward Racing Team is leaving everyone at FTR really looking forward to the 2013 season,” adds Chris Herring, FTR Director. “Giovanni and Marco (Curioni, team Managing Director) have worked hard on the project and in the two excellent riders, Colin and Claudio, they have a programme to be very proud of. They have the full backing of FTR and its technical support and development staff and I'm sure the improved performance will be evident on-track throughout the forthcoming campaign.”
