Raikkonen wins first 2013 F1 race
Kimi Raikkonen has shown that he will be a title contender this year, after winning the first race of the Formula One season in Australia against all odds. He managed to hang on to the lead despite tricky conditions.
Fernando Alonso for Ferrari finished in second position, after spending the last part of the race trying to close the gap with the Finnish in front. Sebastian Vettel who started the race from pole position could not do much and had to settle for third position.
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa started on a very positive note, by overtaking a number of cars at the front, but left it too late and lost what he had gained in the beginning.
Lewis Hamilton on his first race with Mercedes finished in fifth position.
Adrian Sutil for Force India started the season in a surprising way as he was leading for some time during the race, but then finished in seventh position.
McLaren started off the season with a disappointing performance as Button finished in ninth position and Perez finished in 11th place.
