The second edition of the Malta Facebook Page Awards, a series of awards given out to locally-created Facebook Pages that receive the most likes, has come to an end.

Current affairs page “Malta Dizastru TOTALI” won the edition with more than 4,800 votes.

Patriotic page “Love Malta” closely followed in second place, with more than 3,300 votes, and sightseeing page “maltain360.com” came in third with almost 2,200 likes.

This year, more than 200 Facebook pages took place in the competition, for which 33,142 people voted.

Prizes consisted of a glass trophy in the shape of a frame, provided by Mdina Glass.

Last year’s edition saw the fan page of Japanese cars in Malta, “JDM Malta” win first prize. The fan page was created by Santa Lucija resident Ryan Camilleri.
