MTA updates German app for iPhone
The Malta Tourism Authority’s German office in Frankfurt recently updated its official German iPhone Malta travel guide application. The existing version has now been adapted for the iPad format and also contains updated information and new photos.
The first edition of this application was successfully launched by MTA in August 2010, followed by an English version in November 2010 and the Italian and French versions in December 2011.
iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users and holidaymakers can download a variety of useful information about the Maltese Islands – free of charge. The application comprises numerous helpful facts and provides significant locations on-site. It not only serves as a cultural signpost but also as a sports companion and thus ensures a manifold holiday in Malta and Gozo.
“MTA is committed to continue with its efforts to enhance its communication tools to reach a wider audience of potential visitors to Malta. Since the launch of the Malta travel guide application two years ago we had around 30.000 downloads and since the launch of the new iPad version we already registered 8200 updates,” said Joe Galea, Director of International Marketing of MTA.
